Edge Custom Wavefront Sensors as Beam Profiler Compliment

Customers who use lasers are aware of how crucial having a properly aligned optical system is.In order maximizing the effectiveness of their beam. We will discuss why HASO Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensors are a great addition to your beam profiler in the technology note in the downloads tab.
For measuring your laser’s intensity with an extremely high degree of spatial resolution, beam profilers are excellent and reasonably priced tools. The data you rely on to perfect your beam is limited to the effects of its imperfections rather than the causes behind them because, despite their immense usefulness, they can only measure intensity.
In contrast to beam profilers, HASO wavefront sensors use a variety of patented technologies to simultaneously and independently measure your beam’s phase and intensity.

The complexity of Ultra-High Intensity Lasers is well known. Therefore, it is crucial to have a firm grasp of their temporal, spectral, and spatial performance.
By examining the following, it is very simple to characterize the quality of a spatial laser beam thanks to Shack-Hartmann measurement:

  • The PSF (Point Spread Function), which is the spatial dispersion of energy in the laser’s focal point.
  • M², which measures the degradation of the beam quality
