| Since its inception, Imagine Optic has maintained its position as a leader in innovation in the domains of wavefront metrology and adaptive optics by obtaining at least one commercially viable patent every year.
We pioneered absolute wavefront measurement in 1997, the same year that the first spot tracking algorithms saw the light of day. Today, our HASO™ wavefront sensors are the only products available on the market that offer an intrinsic dynamic range of several hundred angstroms and a precision of λ/100.
We brought our patented rotated square technology to market in 2000 offering customers the improvements to Shack-Hartmann technology that the market demanded and we continue to look for new ways to meet customer needs.
Always striving to stay at the forefront of market needs, we brought to market the first wavefront sensors for the elusive EUV (extreme ultraviolet) and x-ray spectrums. This new technological advance enables customers to measure harmonic laser sources, beams produced by the latest generation of synchrotrons from, and more.
In the domain of adaptive optics, Imagine Optic has worked in close collaboration with leading international researchers to bring the advances in this field to customers in high-power laser development. These collaborative efforts have enabled researchers at LAO (Laboratoire d’Optique Appliquée) and CUOS (University of Michigan) to shatter previous records in spontaneous power generation for focused beams. These same advances have allowed researchers on the LIL project, precursor of the LMJ (Mega Joules Laser), to create a laser chain closed-loop adaptive optics system for these devices.
Imagine Optic continues to innovate thanks to the know-how we have acquired in the applied optics domain. Many of the custom solutions that our in-house team of professionnals has developed for our customers have in turn lead to advances in our overall product line.
To ensure that our development projects anticipate market demand, our team works in close collaboration with our clients to develop custom solutions and new technologies that respond to their needs in the domains of quality control, optical systems and laser metrology, and adaptive optics.
